The Convoy Lions Club recently presented their “LIONS ROAR” incentives to the third graders at Crestview Elementary. Greg Kulwicki and Tricia Kulwicki, representing the Convoy Lions Club, handed out cash that the students earned throughout the year by reading books and taking Accelerated Reader quizzes. Students were awarded two cents per AR point they earned. Since reading is a fundamental to all learning, the Convoy Lions Club believes the LIONS ROAR (Rewards to Optimize Advanced Reading) Program will plant a seed that will grow over the years and will play a small part in helping the students become successful lifetime learners.

Top earners pictured with the Kulwickis include: H. Perrott (5th place), A. Motycka (4th place), A. Crisp (3rd place), L. Gardner (2nd place) and E. Lamb (1st place). read more...
