Crestview MS/HS Announcements Thursday, May 23, 2019

  1. The following student(s) please come to the office: Skyler Moore.

  2. The following student(s) please go to the Guidance Office:  Jenna Balliet.

  3. All Pre-Algebra students need to bring their own calculator if they wish to use one on the final test today.  Classroom calculators are unavailable due to some missing.

  4. Attention Summer Drivers Ed students, your fees for the class need to be paid by Tuesday May 28.

  5. Students need to have their hallway lockers and locker room lockers cleaned out before you leave on your last day. All items left after the last day of school will go to Good Will or be thrown away.  This includes any items you have on the floor.

  6. Students are to turn in their laptops on Friday or Tuesday to Mrs. Lautzenheiser in the library when finished with their last exam or when no longer needed.

  7. Friday is our odd block exam day and Tuesday is our even block exam day.

  8. Underclassmen, when finished with your last exam, may provide a parental note dismissing you at that time.  If you don’t have an exam 8th period on Tuesday, you may leave at the end of your 6th period exam.  If you don’t have an exam 6th or 8th period, you may leave at the end of your 4th period exam.  Just need that note and we prefer to have it prior to Tuesday. 

  9. Monday—No School—Memorial Day.

  10. Middle School Students can sign up for Fun Day activities during lunch.  Sign-ups will be on the Student Council Board.  All fees must be paid in order to participate in Fun Day.

  11. It’s voting time for next year’s Student Council officers.  Students in grades 8-11 can vote by going to the Student Resources Page on the Crestview Knights webpage.

  12. Any 8th-12th grader interested in being youth help for summer Dare camp can pick up a packet in the office.

  13. A donation drive for the Van Wert County Humane Society is taking place now through 5/24.  If you have items you would like to donate please drop them off in the Crestview FFA Ag building.

Grades 8-11 boys’ basketball will meet in the auditeria.

  1. Any 6th and 7th graders interested in playing soccer may pick up a flier in the office.

  2. Girls in grades 6-8 interested in playing basketball can pick up a paper in the office.

  3. Acme and Jr. Acme will have practice today from 5:00-6:30, meet in the gym. If you are planning to play but can’t make this practice you need to see Coach Wharton.

  4. HS Track & Field student-athletes are reminded to return their clean uniforms and warm-ups to Coach Lautzenheiser before the awards banquet this evening. 

  5. Wade Sheets advances to regional finals with a time of 11.58 in the 100m dash.  Also advancing is the 4x100m relay team consisting of Darrin Nihiser, Jordan Perrott, Caleb Pruett, and Wade Sheets with a time of 44.79 as well as the 4x200m relay team consisting of Nihiser, Pruitt, Perrott and Sheets with a time of 1:33.56.  Congratulations also to Josiah Updegrove with his 9th place finish in the 300m hurdles with a time of 42.13 and to Nihiser, Perrott, Sheets and Pruett in their 9th place finish in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3.34.03.

  6. Hannah Binnion scored on a double by Avery McCoy in the first inning. Down 3-1 going into the 7th Emily Greulach scored on Fielder’s Choice. With two outs runners on 1st and 2nd, Codi Miller delivered a single into the right-center gap allowing Mandy Macki and Lexi Gregory to score. Lady Knights go up 4-3 and hold on defense in the bottom of the inning to defeat Gibsonburg! Crestview advanced to Regional final!
