The Crestview Cheerleading program concluded the year with head coach Kenzie Ray recognizing the team’s accomplishments throughout the football and basketball seasons.

Bailey Gregory, Crestview High School senior, recently signed to play volleyball for UNOH in Lima. Bailey is the daughter of Mark and Tammy Gregory.
Adalynn Longstreth, Crestview High School senior, recently signed to run for the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, IN. Adalynn is the daughter of Matthew and Amy Longstreth.
Breena Grace, Crestview High School senior, recently signed to play Division II softball for West Liberty University in West Virginia. Breena is the daughter of Jeff and Nanette Grace.
The Crestview soccer program held its post-season awards banquet to recognize athletes for their hard work throughout the season. Coach John Dowler and his staff presented Northwest Conference Scholar-Athlete and special awards during the event.

The Crestview Golf program recently held their awards night to recognize the team and its success throughout the season. Coaches Jeremy Best and Tim Hurst presented players with several awards and special recognition for both the girls’ and boys’ programs.
Special award winners were Faye Moran (Most Improved), Brianna Hahn (Most Valuable Golfer), Tanner Myers (Most Improved), Scott Bowman (Knight Pride Award), and Dillon Underwood (Knight Pride Award, Most Valuable Golfer, NWC 2nd Team Honors).
Tickets for the varsity football game at Parkway on Friday, Aug. 30th will be on sale in the AD office on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Crestview High School recognized their 2019 girls’ and boys’ track and baseball scholar athletes during the first week of school. These athletes earned this recognition by meeting required criteria established by the Northwest Conference: Silver Level - 3.0 GPA and varsity letter and Gold Level – 3.5 GPA and varsity letter.
Scholar Athletes for Track and Field include: Row 1- Haley Sheets, Madalyn Ward, Tiffany Thompson, Ragen Harting, Breck Rumschlag, Chloee Case, Kenzie Leeth. Row 2 – Hayden Tomlinson, Jordan Updegrove, Isaiah LaTurner, Dillon Underwood, Colby Swager, Maddy Lamb. Row 3 – Nevaeh Pruett, Lindsey Schumm, Cameron Cearns, Dalton Castle, Lauryn Black, Salex Overmyer.
Scholar Athletes include: Row 1 – Tyler Hart, Kaden Short, Logan Gerardot. Row 2 – Brody Brecht, Ayden Lichtensteiger.
The Crestview Baseball program concluded its season with head coach Jim Wharton, along with his coaching staff, recognizing their teams’ accomplishments throughout their season.
Special Awards: Kole Small (Pitching Award, Jamey Davis Loyalty Award), Brant Richardson (Pitching Award, Offensive Knight Award, Jeff “Squirt” Royer Award), Griffin Painter (Rusty Hyitt Toughness Award), and Riley Saylor (Mason Springer Leadership Award).
Coach Jeremy Best has announced his decision to resign as boys’ basketball coach at Crestview. During his 17 years in the position, Coach Best amassed 291 of his 314 career victories. His career highlights include two state championships (2014, 2019), one state runner-up trophy (2003), seven Northwest Conference, ten sectional, four district, and three regional championships.
The Crestview Athletic department, Administration, and Board of Education would like to thank Coach Best for his constant dedication, passion, and love that he has shown to the boys who have played in his program. Coach Best took the great tradition of Crestview Basketball to new heights. His success on the court is only surpassed by the lasting relationships he has built with his players. For that, our players and community will forever be grateful. Crestview would also like to thank Coach Best’s wife, Jennifer, and his two children, Ethan and Lillie, for their support and sacrifice.

Pre-sale tickets for Crestview’s Division VII Regional Semifinal football game Saturday night vs. Minster at Wapakoneta’s Harmon Field will be on sale Wednesday night from 5:30-6:30pm in the HS office and Thursday and Friday from 7:45am to 3:15pm in the A.D. office. Pre-sale price is $8 for everyone. All tickets at the gate are $9. There will be a $3 parking fee. Gates open at 5:30. Game time is 7:00.
On November 3, 2018 before the HS playoff game at Crestview the Convoy Fire & EMS will be having a carryout benefit meal (1/2 BBQ chicken w/ apple sauce, chips & plasticware). The meal, prepared by the Van Wert Firefighters’ Union 681, will be $8 with all proceeds going to firefighter Rod Dawson who is battling cancer. Dinners can be purchased and picked up at Crestview Door number 2 from 4:30pm until all meals are sold.
Rod has put 18 years of his life towards helping to protect the members of Convoy and surrounding communities as a firefighter and EMT with the Convoy Fire Department. Proceeds from this event will go towards Rod’s final expenses. Please help us give back to this family in their time of need.
