Golf Program Holds Awards Night

The Crestview Golf program recently held their awards night to recognize the team and its success throughout the season. Coaches Jeremy Best and Tim Hurst presented players with several awards and special recognition for both the girls’ and boys’ programs.

 

 

Special award winners were Faye Moran (Most Improved), Brianna Hahn (Most Valuable Golfer), Tanner Myers (Most Improved), Scott Bowman (Knight Pride Award), and Dillon Underwood (Knight Pride Award, Most Valuable Golfer, NWC 2nd Team Honors).

Varsity Football Presale Ticket Information

Tickets for the varsity football game at Parkway on Friday, Aug. 30th will be on sale in the AD office on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.  

THERE WILL BE NO PRESALE ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY SINCE SCHOOL IS NOT IN SESSION.

Presale prices are $6 for adults and $4 for students.
Tickets at the gate are $7.

High School Recognizes Spring Scholar Athletes

Crestview High School recognized their 2019 girls’ and boys’ track and baseball scholar athletes during the first week of school. These athletes earned this recognition by meeting required criteria established by the Northwest Conference:  Silver Level - 3.0 GPA and varsity letter and Gold Level – 3.5 GPA and varsity letter.

 

Scholar Athletes for Track and Field include: Row 1- Haley Sheets, Madalyn Ward, Tiffany Thompson, Ragen Harting, Breck Rumschlag, Chloee Case, Kenzie Leeth. Row 2 – Hayden Tomlinson, Jordan Updegrove, Isaiah LaTurner, Dillon Underwood, Colby Swager, Maddy Lamb. Row 3 – Nevaeh Pruett, Lindsey Schumm, Cameron Cearns, Dalton Castle, Lauryn Black, Salex Overmyer.

Fall Meet the Team and Ticket Information

The Crestview Athletic Department will conduct its annual Meet the Team night Monday, August 5th at 6:30 p.m. in the high school gym.  All seventh through twelfth grade fall student-athletes and parents are requested to attend.

Meet the Team night will give the community the first opportunity to get a look at the 2019 edition of the fall sports’ squads and our high school marching band.  A general information session will begin the evening for all student-athletes, parents, and community members. During this session, the players and coaches of each team will be introduced. 

After the general session, individual meetings with each teams’ fall coaches will occur. 

Knight Pride Booster Club memberships will be available during this event to purchase.  The Knight Pride Club supports Crestview athletics through the purchase of team uniforms, facility upgrades, and needed equipment. 

All-Sports Passes will be on sale following the general session and are good for all home-sporting events (excluding invitational and tournament action) during the fall and winter sports seasons.  The cost is $100 for adults and $50 per student with family pricing available. Football reserved seats will be on sale for $30 per seat. Gate prices will be $7 for varsity football games; $5 adults, $4 students for high school soccer and volleyball matches; and $4 adults, $3 students for entry into all middle school athletic events.  Student varsity football season tickets will be $15.
Golden Buckeye card passes will also be available for $10 and are good for use at all athletic events with the exception of varsity football and varsity boys’ basketball.

Individual presale football tickets ($5 adult, $4 students) can be purchased on Fridays from 7:45 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. in the athletic office.  All season tickets will continue to be on sale in the athletic office.

Coach Jeremy Best Resigns as Crestview Basketball Coach

Coach Jeremy Best has announced his decision to resign as boys’ basketball coach at Crestview. During his 17 years in the position, Coach Best amassed 291 of his 314 career victories.  His career highlights include two state championships (2014, 2019), one state runner-up trophy (2003), seven Northwest Conference, ten sectional, four district, and three regional championships.

The Crestview Athletic department, Administration, and Board of Education would like to thank Coach Best for his constant dedication, passion, and love that he has shown to the boys who have played in his program. Coach Best took the great tradition of Crestview Basketball to new heights.  His success on the court is only surpassed by the lasting relationships he has built with his players. For that, our players and community will forever be grateful. Crestview would also like to thank Coach Best’s wife, Jennifer, and his two children, Ethan and Lillie, for their support and sacrifice.

Coach Best shared the following statement-

“First, thank you to my family for their sacrifice, support, and love that they have shown me. Also, I would like to thank the administration and school board members, both past and present, that gave this opportunity to me and my family. Thank you for your continued support.  I would also like to thank all of those who have coached with me. I have been fortunate to have loyal and dedicated coaches in our program. Also, the Crestview community deserves to be thanked for all their support and love. This is a basketball-crazy community, and I am very proud to have built strong relationships and created great memories with them. Lastly, to all of the players who have played for me, I love you all and will never forget the journey we went on together.  I will miss you and the relationships that we have built. Having the awesome responsibility of representing this community and program for the past 17 years has been life-changing. We have hung numbers, banners, and pictures on the walls. We even put two gold trophies in the case! But, what I will hold dearest in my heart are the lifelong relationships that my family and I have built with this special place. GO KNIGHTS!”

Boys’ Sectional Final Ticket info

The boys’ sectional final Friday, March 1 between Crestview and Lima Temple Christian at Van Wert will tip-off at 6:15 p.m.  No presale tickets are being offered to the athletic department. Spectators will be allowed entrance at 5:00and tickets will be sold at the gate starting at 5:15 when the doors officially open. Tickets at the door will be $6 for adults and $4 for students. Crestview Pre-sale Ticket information for the Flyin’ to the Hoop Showcase

The Crestview varsity boys’ basketball team will be playing in the nationally recognized Flyin’ to the Hoop Showcase at Kettering Fairmont High School (Trent Arena) on Sunday, January 20th at 3 p.m. versus Minster.  General admission ticket prices are $18 for adults and $10 for students and will gain admission to all games on January 20th. Crestview will receive a percentage of all pre-sale tickets bought at our location; however, the number of tickets given to each school is extremely limited so the following protocol will be followed to sell tickets:

Monday, January 7 from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. in the athletic office to VARSITY boys’ basketball coaches and players for immediate family.  Immediate family is defined by family members living in the player’s household as well as grandparents.

Tuesday, January 8 from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. in the athletic office to all of the above as well as for the immediate family of varsity cheerleaders, stats, and managers.

Wednesday, January 9 to students and the general public from 6-7 p.m. in the HS office.

Adult general admission tickets may also be purchased at http://flyintothehoop.com/ftth-tickets/.  Please select “Sunday, January 20- General Admission” to add the number of desired tickets.  Also, please note that $10 student tickets can only be purchased at Crestview.

Crestview Knight Pride Club to Honor 2017-18 Regional Participants and All-Ohio Awards

The Crestview Knight Pride Club will be honoring recent regional participants and All-Ohio with special recognition for their special accomplishments.
 
The 2017-18 regional-runner up boys’ basketball team and the 2018 regional runner-up football team will be honored during the boys’ basketball game with Allen East on Friday, December 21.  Also, 2018 alumni Dylan Hicks will be recognized for earning 2nd Team All-Ohio for the 2017 football season.  The recognition ceremony will take place immediately after the junior varsity boys’ game and prior to varsity warm-up.  The jv game with Allen East starts at 6 p.m.

Playoff Ticket Information

Pre-sale tickets for Crestview’s Division VII Regional Semifinal football game Saturday night vs. Minster at Wapakoneta’s Harmon Field will be on sale Wednesday night from 5:30-6:30pm in the HS office and Thursday and Friday from 7:45am to 3:15pm in the A.D. office. Pre-sale price is $8 for everyone. All tickets at the gate are $9. There will be a $3 parking fee. Gates open at 5:30. Game time is 7:00.

Crestview HS Football Playoff Presale Ticket Information

Presale tickets for Saturday night’s home playoff football game with Miami Valley Christian Academy will be on sale in the high school athletic office on Wednesday night from 6:00-8:00 in the HS office as well as Thursday and Friday from 7:45-3:15. Presale ticket prices are $8 for both student and adult.  Crestview will retain 15% of every presale ticket purchased.  Fans are encouraged to take advantage of presale opportunities.  No Crestview passes of any type will be accepted as this is an OHSAA event.  This includes faculty/staff and all-sports passes.
There will also be a $2 parking fee for the playoff football game as established through the OHSAA.  
 All tickets at the gate are $9.  Game time is 7:00pm.

Convoy Fire & EMS Association is asking for your help to help one of our own

On November 3, 2018 before the HS playoff game at Crestview the Convoy Fire & EMS will be having a carryout benefit meal (1/2 BBQ chicken w/ apple sauce, chips & plasticware).  The meal, prepared by the Van Wert Firefighters’ Union 681, will be $8 with all proceeds going to firefighter Rod Dawson who is battling cancer. Dinners can be purchased and picked up at Crestview Door number 2 from 4:30pm until all meals are sold.


Rod has put 18 years of his life towards helping to protect the members of Convoy and surrounding communities as a firefighter and EMT with the Convoy Fire Department.  Proceeds from this event will go towards Rod’s final expenses. Please help us give back to this family in their time of need.
