Why did you become a Crestview BOE member?
I became a board member at Crestview because I thought I received a great education here. Crestview wasn't the biggest school and they didn't have the most course offerings, but the teachers were absolutely rock solid and always willing to help if things didn't make sense. There were also expectations...hard work, excellence, dress, behavior, and pride. I wanted to see these traditions continue. Additionally, being able to have an impact on my own kids' education held a definite appeal to me. Presenting them with their diplomas has been very rewarding. Finally, there's a certain sense of prestige that stems from being associated with Crestview Local Schools and the reputation it enjoys. I consider helping to chart the course for the "Academy" a great privilege.
