The Crestview chapter of FFA recently held their annual “FFA Week” which included food, fun and fellowship throughout the week. In addition to traditional celebrations like their famous breakfast, the group decided to hold a canned food drive among its members. The week-long drive collected about 250 canned food items to be donated to the food pantry in Convoy. Crestview Local Schools, in correlation with Ohio Revised Code 3313.64 or 3313.65, will again permit students from adjacent school districts to apply and enroll in the district through “Open Enrollment” for the 2018-2019 school year.

Applications will be accepted, beginning April 1, on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the time and date the application is received by the superintendent of Crestview Local Schools. Requests will be acted upon no later than July 1.

Parents interested in open enrollment for kindergarten students must complete an application at kindergarten registration, which will be held March 19-23, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the elementary office (enter at door #9). No appointment is necessary.

Applications will be considered in the order received and space may be limited. All applications (except for kindergarten students) must be completed and returned no later than May 31.  Applications are available by contacting Superintendent Mike Estes’s office at 419-749-9100, ext. 4 or on the school website at under Downloads.

All those approved for open enrollment transfers in effect for the 2017-2018 school year need to complete a new open enrollment application for the 2018-2019 school year.  These applications will be considered before new requests are acted upon.

Please feel free to contact Mr. Estes’s office if you have any questions on the open enrollment process.

The Crestview Local Schools Board of Education announced Monday evening that they have selected Kathy Mollenkopf, current Crestview Elementary Principal, as the next Superintendent for the district.
Mollenkopf will begin her new post August 1, 2018, as the district’s Superintendent. This coming May will mark her 18th year as principal of the elementary after serving as a teacher for 11 years and two years as Dean of Students/Transportation Director. Mollenkopf will succeed Mike Estes who announced his retirement earlier this school year and will conclude his tenure on July 31, 2018.
The hiring of Mollenkopf was the culmination of a search by the district which included input from the community, students, faculty and staff. After a community survey was administered, the Board narrowed its search and included interview teams of community members, teachers and administrators in addition to the Crestview Board of Education.
Mollenkopf stated, “I am thrilled and humbled to have been selected as the new Superintendent for Crestview.  I love this school district, and I am grateful for this God-given opportunity.  My husband, Randy, and I live in this community, we raised our children in this community, and we support the educational and extra-curricular endeavors of the students in this district.  I welcome the opportunity to partner collaboratively with our district’s stakeholders – students, parents, staff, teachers, building and district administrators, members of the Board of Education, and community members to foster our strengths and tackle the challenges that present themselves.  This school district has talented, vested teachers and administrators as well as staff members who want to equip our students with the necessary knowledge and skills they will need to be contributing 21st century citizens, and I am excited to have the opportunity to serve as the educational leader.  This is an exciting time to be a Crestview Knight!”  read more...
