On Monday night, February 27th, the Guidance Department will be hosting a Post Secondary meeting as well as a Dual Enrollment meeting. The Post Secondary meeting we be conducted by Mr. Springer. This meeting will be in the High School library and will start at 6:30 p.m. This meeting is available to parents of all high school students for the 2012-2013 school year. This would be for a student who wants to physically attend college at the same time as attending Crestview and receive credit for both. The student would have to be accepted at the college of their choice.
The Dual Enrollment meeting we be conducted by Mrs. Kill. This meeting will take place on the same night and will be in the High School library starting at 7:00 p.m. Crestview and Wright State University have formed a partnership which allows a student this opportunity. This meeting would be for parents of a student going into their Senior year in 2012-2013. A high school Senior may take a course at Crestview and receive college credit for that same course at a REDUCED price. These credits will most likely be accepted at the college the student chooses to attend. The parent/student is responsible for the expense. Gretchen Rentz from Wright State University will be available to explain this program and to answer any specific questions.
If you are unsure if you should attend either of these meetings, please feel free to call the guidance office for details ahead of time. Please call Mr. Springer( ext. 6002) or Mrs. Kill (ext. 6001).
