Crestview Student Council recently sponsored two mini-relays for the American Cancer Society on the high school track.  The high school and middle school formed teams and participated in a relay on May 24, in which they raised $1717.  The elementary students had a relay on May 28 in which they raised $883.  Karla Batt, Relay for Life Manager, East Central Division of the American Cancer Society was presented a check for $2600 from Student Council members, Austin Cunningham and Derek Biro.

Members of the Crestview Girls Softball Team were acknowledged on May 28, 2013 at their annual awards banquet.  Athletes, along with their parents, met in the Crestview auditeria for refreshments and a ceremony in which softball players were recognized for their accomplishments and honors.  For the 2013 season, the coaching staff accredited a number of athletes with special awards.  Special award winners include: Northwest Conference Team: Honorable Mention – Mackenzie Riggenbach, 2nd Team -Brooke Bowen, 1st  Team -   Terra Crowle & Kirstin Hicks.  All District Team:  Honorable Mention – Brooke Bowen, 2nd   Team – Terra Crowle, 1st Team – Kirstin Hicks.  All State Team:   2nd  Team -  Kirstin Hicks.  Over The Fence -  Kirstin Hicks, Riley Guest, Terra Crowle, Brittany Helt, Knight Offensive Award - Terra Crowle, MVP – Kirstin Hicks,  Pink Bat Award – Kirstin Hicks.  Pictured are the special award winners.  Congratulations to all the Crestview Knight Softball Players!

Fans will enter Huntington Park at the centerfield entrance, at the corner of Neil Ave. and Nationwide Blvd. There are many parking lots available for fans near Huntington Park. Parking fees are charged by the city and are paid for by cash only. Please visit www.clippersbaseball.com and under Huntington Park tab, there will be parking and directions information. Ticket price is $8 for all games for the day. There is no re-entry into Huntington Park. Gates open to the public at 9 a.m. each day. Umbrellas are permitted in Huntington Park. Sunscreen is recommended as seats are in the open. The semi-final game will be broadcast on WKSD 99.7 The championship game will be broadcast by Time Warner.
