Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

Beginning in the 2015-2016 school year, the Ohio Department of Education  began  the College Credit Plus program for students in grades 7 - 12 enrolled in Ohio schools.  College Credit Plus has two fundamental positions:

1. Student must be enrolled in both college and high school.
2. Students can earn transcripted college and high school credit upon successful completion of the course.

On Feb. 29, 2016, at 6:00 pm at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center, principals and counselors from Crestview, Lincolnview, Parkway, Vantage and Van Wert City Schools, as well as local college representatives will be hosting an informational meeting for parents/guardians. This meeting will consist of a general session giving more information on College Credit Plus.  Then each individual school district will have an opportunity to discuss more information and answer any potential questions. There will be several colleges and universities in attendance.

For more information on College Credit Plus you can check out the website at https://www.ohiohighered.org/college_credit_plus

Then click: College Credit Plus Guidance Document

If you have a student who might be interested in earning college credit during their time at Crestview, please plan on attending the meeting on Feb. 29th.  If you have questions prior to the meeting please contact the guidance office, (419) 749-9100, ext. 6000, or myself, (419) 749-9100, ext. 2002.

Respectfully,
Michael L. Biro, Principal  read more...
